My name is Moyiga Moria Nduru and I have just completed an Advanced diploma in software engineering from Aptech computer education. I can tell you this, it has been a great journey with lots of ups and downs but one of the important things Aptech computer education has done is motivate and push its students to build our skills. We are usually given textbooks at the beginning of the semester and there are different quotes at the end of each chapter in each book. One of the quotes says “everybody is ignorant, only on different subjects”. This has taught us team work because I won’t deny that my classmates and I have had some really “healthy” arguments but at the end of it all we would always separate our differences and work together to achieve a common goal. I believe that teamwork plays an important role in making our society a better place. Other quotes such as “practice is the best of all instructors” and “don’t learn the tricks of the trade, learn the trade” and my personal favorite “you must do the things you cannot” motivate and encourage us to remember that the sky is not the limit. We must apply what we have learnt and aspire to inspire people as long as we set our minds to it.
I want to thank the teachers at Aptech for standing with us regardless of our different weaknesses and strengths. You did not give up on us. I thank the non-teaching staff for keeping the environment we study and learn in conducive and comfortable. I want to thank the parents and guardians for managing to pay tuition fees in time regardless of how difficult it was for you and for giving us the chance to an education. We couldn’t have done it without you. I thank the almighty God for guiding us towards the light.
